Abhijit Guha
Ab Guha was a close friend of ours, and our reason for getting involved. Before he was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2008, we lived blisfully unaware of stem cells and bone marrow. He changed that for us quickly. We became overnight experts on HLA typing, large scale swab events, and becoming a patient resource.

Ab was a true renaissance man who enjoyed many active pursuits. He was most well known for his scientific accomplishments which are too many to list here. Dr. Guha was a world class author, scholar, teacher, cancer researcher, neurosurgeon, clinician, editor and co-founder of The Arthur and Sonia Labatt Brain Tumour Research Centre, as well as other international charities.

Khokada, as he was affectionately known, was a loving husband to Soma, and father to Deep and Tia. On November 8th, 2011, Ab left this world after his long, stoic, battle. Though he was only 54, he lived his last 3 years with a passion and thorough enjoyment for the next 50.

To review his CV here would take too long. Others however have done an excellent job of describing him...
